How colourful are Australians’ eating habits?
A national survey of 1,035 Australians explores our everyday eating habits, the variety on our plates and how colour could help us think differently about fruit and vegetables.
67%*
of Australians say they often or very often eat the same fruit and vegetables out of habit.
47%*
of Australians reported eating no more than four colours of fruit and vegetables over the previous seven days.
12%*
of Australians say they deliberately buy different fruit and vegetables each week.
69%*
of Australians say they are likely to use colour to increase their fruit and vegetable variety after reading information about colourful plant compounds.
